Animating Textures / Flipbooks in Wonderland Engine

I was thinking about the animated textures in my Storage Space 13 game that I plan on rebuilding using Wonderland. In the current version the textures are animated using some shader tricks. I was looking into the video-texture component. How efficient is this? If I need to have a lot of textures animating. I could change the texture every 200ms or something using a similar component, but I don’t think that’s very efficient as well. Or is it?

I would recommend creating an image for every frame and creating a component that switches the textures in a 200ms interval

A flipbook technique was what I was thinking of too. I’ll do that.
