Multiple Animations on Rigged Character

Is there an example of how to have multiple animations on a rigged character? I’m trying to get it to work, but at the moment the zombies just stop moving when I add a different animation to them. I tried retargeting the animation to the mesh of the zombie, but no result. What did I miss?
